Eligibility
Who can apply, and for how long

Premium HolidayAll three variants
Skip premiums for 1, 2 or 3 years during the policy term (your choice, fixed at inception) — the policy stays in-force with full benefits, no premiums needed for that year.
Available only if Policy Term and Premium Payment Term are 20 years or more.
First Premium Holiday is available only after 5 completed policy years, policy in-force and premiums up to date.
If more than one year is chosen, each subsequent holiday needs a 5-policy-year gap from the previous one.
You must inform the company within the grace period to exercise it; unused holidays are waived off automatically as the last 1–3 policy year premiums.
Premiums skipped during a holiday are excluded from the Total Premiums Paid calculation, and the Life Stage Upgrade feature is unavailable if a holiday is opted for.
Early Exit Value
Life Shield & Life Shield Plus only
Exit before maturity and get back all premiums paid, provided all due premiums are up to date and no prior claim has been taken. The higher of Early Exit Value or Termination Value is paid.
Early Exit Value = Total Premiums Paid + underwriting extra premium paid, both under the base policy.
The policy must be in force at the time of availing this value.
Can be exercised only after completing 25 policy years, when the Life Assured's minimum attained age is 60, and not during the last 5 policy years.
Not available if a Life Stage Upgrade Sum Assured has been taken.
The policy terminates on payment of Early Exit Value. No additional premiums are needed to avail it.
Death Benefit Payment OptionAll three variants
Chosen at inception, in one of three ways:
100% of the benefit as a lump sum
X% as a lump sum and the rest as monthly income (X = 10%–90%)
100% as monthly income instalments
Instalments are paid monthly over 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 years as chosen at inception; the first instalment is due on the date of death. Even after instalments begin, the nominee can convert remaining instalments into a lump sum at a 5% discount rate. TI Benefit and ADB Sum Assured are always paid as a lump sum; any Life Stage Upgrade Sum Assured is also paid 100% as a lump sum.
RIDERS
Enhance your cover further
Add optional rider benefits at a nominal extra cost.
Bajaj Life Family Protect Rider
The Bajaj Life Family Protect Rider is an optional rider that can be added to eligible - Bajaj Life eTOUCH. It is designed to provide additional financial protection to your spouse, parents, or children if the life assured dies or suffers Accidental Total Permanent Disability (ATPD)
Spouse Care
Supports your spouse financially.
Pays a lump sum (105% of rider premiums paid) plus a regular monthly income for the chosen benefit period after the rider benefit is triggered.
Parental Care
One of the most unique features in the market.
If the life assured dies or suffers ATPD, parents receive:
105% of the rider premiums paid as an immediate lump sum, plus
A monthly income (chosen between 0.1% and 0.5% of the Rider Sum Assured) for the rest of their lives.
When does the rider pay?
The rider benefit is triggered on the earlier of:
Death of the life assured, or
Accidental Total Permanent Disability (ATPD) of the life assured.
Example
Suppose Ravi buys:
Bajaj Life eTOUCH: ₹1 crore cover
Family Protect Rider – Parental Care: ₹50 lakh Rider Sum Assured
If Ravi unfortunately dies during the policy term:
His nominee receives the ₹1 crore base term insurance benefit (as per the base policy).
In addition, his parents receive:
105% of the rider premiums paid, and
A monthly lifelong income based on the option selected (for example, ₹10,000 per month in the brochure illustration).
Why it stands out
Unlike most term insurance riders that only increase the death benefit, the Family Protect Rider is designed to replace ongoing financial support for family members—especially ageing parents—through a regular income stream, making it particularly useful for people who financially support their parents or spouse.

Key Definitions
Sum Assured on Death is the higher of (a) 10× Annualized Premium, or (b) Sum Assured plus total Life-Stage Sum Assured — never less than the Guaranteed Death Benefit of 105% of Total Premiums Paid to date of death.
Terminal Illness means a disease diagnosed by a Medical Practitioner and Our appointed Medical Practitioner as likely to lead to death within six months of certification.
Accidental Death means death caused by a sudden, unforeseen, involuntary event from external, visible and violent means, occurring independently of illness, within 180 days of the accident.
Accidental Total Permanent Disability means permanent, total disability from bodily injury caused by accident, resulting — within 180 days, solely and independently — in loss of both eyes, both arms, both legs, both feet, or a qualifying combination of one arm/hand and one leg/foot, documented over an uninterrupted 6-month period.
Non payment of Premiums
Life Shield & Life Shield Plus: The policy lapses at the end of the grace period if no due premium is paid — no paid-up value is available.
Life Shield ROP: If less than one full year's premium is paid, the policy lapses with no benefit payable. If at least one full year's premium is paid, the policy automatically converts to paid-up status instead of lapsing — the paid-up Death Benefit will never fall below 105% of Total Premiums Paid till date. No paid-up value is available for WOP benefit. Revival is available as per policy conditions.
Suicide Exclusion
If death by suicide occurs within 12 months of the policy commencement date or the date of the latest revival (whichever is later), the nominee receives the higher of 80% of Total Premiums Paid or the Surrender Value/Termination Value as on the date of death, provided the policy is in force.
Accidental Death Benefit — Exclusions
ADB is not payable if death results from: breach of law with criminal intent; being under the influence of alcohol or drugs (other than as prescribed by a registered medical practitioner); self-inflicted injuries; naval, military or air force operations during peacetime; participating in or training for a dangerous/hazardous sport, race or competition; suicide; aviation other than as a fare-paying passenger on a scheduled commercial flight; war, invasion, civil war, rebellion or riots; failure to follow medical advice; or nuclear contamination.
WOP on ATPD — Exclusions
The waiver will not trigger if the disability results from: breach of law with criminal intent; war, invasion, civil war, rebellion or riot; being under the influence of alcohol or drugs (other than as prescribed); naval, military or air force operations; participating in or training for a dangerous/hazardous sport, race or competition; aviation other than as a fare-paying passenger on a scheduled commercial flight; attempted self-injury; poison, gas or fume exposure; failure to follow medical advice; or nuclear contamination.
Termination of the Policy
The policy terminates, immediately and automatically, on the earliest of: expiry of the revival period for a lapsed policy; payment of TI Benefit with no remaining Death Benefit; death of the Life Assured (lump sum option) or the last Death Benefit instalment (instalment option); the Maturity Date (or last maturity instalment, for Life Shield ROP); payment of Termination/Surrender Value; payment of Early Exit Value; or refund on Free Look cancellation.
